Odd as it may seem (yes the sun is still shining and temperatures are HOT!) the fall home decor collections are already making waves on the floors of our favorite stores.
Surely in tune with advent of the school year (think dorm rooms and mini studios) and the constant need to sell, sell sell, the early arrival of fall merchandise could be considered something worth celebrating. Why? Because by the time fall actually hits all these goods will be on sale and we'll be reaping the benefits.
So what's worth buying this season? Below are some of my notable favorites from the likes of CB2, West Elm and Unicahome.com. Pick and choose wisely because before you know it, holiday will be arriving.
CB2: Crate and Barrel's "modern haven" has college written all over it. Even their homepage says "back to cool." Even though it's fun to browse I'm leaving the kids stuff alone this year in favor of their Balinese recycled tin mirror which says "Southwest" without being too obvious.
West Elm: I'm a sucker for hidden storage and West Elm delivers theirs in spades. Have a peek at the storage bed headboard and storage bed collection which comes in a slick chocolate finish. Both are ideal when paired together (double the space) or even alone, considering the hefty pricetag.
Unicahome.com: Art student by day, struggling writer by night, this waste basket by Umbra has inspiration written all over it. Swirls of color dance across the cubicle, which will hide all your secret, scrunched up love notes along with yesterdays homework. My fave? An ocean blue version which mimics Missoni.
