According to Inc. 500, GaN ranks as the 59th fastest growing Government contractor in the US. GaN also ranks as the 2nd fastest growing Alabama company providing Government services, with a growth of 467%. GaN stands for "Geeks and Nerds", and as aptly named, the company focus is on high-technology applications.

The letter "A" in the GaN logo consists of the Chinese character meaning people and the red eyeglasses symbolizing innovation.
